This is my dog Heidi.  She's a real goofball.  We owned her mom, Misty, and picked Heidi from her litter of 8 pups.  Not because she was the prettiest, but because she loved us the most. We lost Misty 2 years ago and we still miss her, but we are so thankful for Heidi.  She makes us smile everyday.

Hi Everyone!  Welcome to my “About Me” page.

My name is Annette Johnson.  I am married to a very supportive husband named Ken, and have 4 lovely children, 1 awesome son-in-law, 2 darling grandchildren, and a wiemaraner dog. As far back as I can remember, I have always enjoyed making art, whether it be drawing, painting, sewing, printmaking, photography, rug braiding, and package design.  I graduated with double associates degrees in Fine Art and Graphic Design, but instead of continuing, I put my art on the back burner, to get married, have a baby, and spend time with my family, with no regrets.

I am loving making lampwork beads here in my home studio, located in beautiful New England.

I torch whenever I can, usually at night and on weekends.  I try to supplement my income, but mostly I need to satisfy my bead making addiction.  I’m always searching for color combinations, and dreaming about my designs.  I find myself jumping out of bed each morning to check the kiln.  It’s like opening up a present!  When I clean the beads they sparkle like jewels.  The warm, wet, sudsy glass feels so good in my hands and the sound of the water running over the glass is like music to my ears.

They are not always what I am hoping for, but the beads, good or bad, always teach me something.  I started making beads Feb 2004 and now I can’t stop (not that I want to).  Hope you like my beads as much as I love making them. :o)

Thanks to all you wonderful Jewelry designers and Bead collectors who support me. I love you!

Annette

Keep watching, I just keep getting better and better
